The Close is a substantial Cotswolds town house, the majority of which was built over 300 years ago. For some considerable periods of time, The Close was the doctors' surgery. Small reminders of the doctors remain visible, e.g. the 'Day and Night' doorbell in the front porch.
Guests are welcomed into the main entrance hall, which is a spacious room with an elegant cornice. Guests are invited to have tea in the drawing room, where you can sink into the comfortable sofas in front of a roaring fire, or maybe sit in the blissfully quiet garden in the summer months. There are usually homemade cakes on offer, typically chocolate brownies and delicious flapjacks.
The Georgian polished oak staircase leads up to the B&B bedrooms, which are all on the first floor.
The resident pets (two cats and a dog) are kept in a separate bit of the house, but guests can choose to meet them if they wish. Visiting pets by arrangement.
